Our senior pastor, Reverend Pat Higgins, grew up in Newark, NJ. After graduating, she married her high school sweetheart, the late Pastor Chuck Higgins. Pastor Pat accepted the Lord Jesus as her personal Savior on October 24, 1982. She was mentored by and faithfully served her pastors for 15 years, holding various roles, including church receptionist, church secretary, and ultimately Minister of Music following her ordination in 1991.
Pastor Pat has traveled with evangelistic teams to various destinations across the United States and internationally, including England, France, Puerto Rico, Mexico, and Sweden. Through these experiences, God graced her with opportunities to minister in worship and teaching. She also hosts an annual Women’s Conference, where women of all ages receive impartation, empowerment, and encouragement. Her greatest passion is witnessing the restoration and spiritual growth of women who have experienced brokenness, discouragement, or devastation in life. She finds immense joy in seeing these women healed and thriving in their call and purpose.
With a background in administration, Pastor Pat worked in the corporate sector before joining her husband to co-pastor RFC. A classically trained pianist, she also served as the Music Teacher at Abundant Life Academy in Nutley, New Jersey, beginning in 1995. After semi-retiring in 2007, she continued as the school’s Chapel Coordinator until fully retiring in 2018. Since then, she has dedicated herself fully to her ministry responsibilities as Senior Pastor of Restoration Family Church.
Above all, Pastor Pat treasures her role as a mother to her four adult children—LeNard, Artie, Candace, and Mark—and finds her greatest joy in being a grandmother to her three grandsons.
